The State Language Protection CommissionerTaras Kremin met with His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kyiv and All Ukraine.

«It is highly symbolic that our meeting takes place on February 18. As on this day in 2014 Saint Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery became a refuge for many participants of the Revolution of Dignity», - Taras Kremin said.

Taras Kremin and the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine discussed the development and protection of the state language in Ukraine, language legislation in other countries, cooperation in educational and cultural projects as well as the draft law on military chaplaincy.

“Thank you for understanding the role of the Church for the state’s existence. I am convinced that we will overcome all obstacles together. Our common task is to preserve the spirituality and language which is the soul of the Ukrainian people”, - His Beatitude said, in particular.
