The Secretariat of the State Language Protection Commissioner acts with the authority of Article 52 of the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Functioning of Ukrainian as the State Language".
Article 52. The Secretariat of the State Language Protection Commissioner
1. The secretariat shall be established to ensure the Commissioner’s activities. The Secretariat of the Commissioner provides organizational, expert and analytical, legal, information, material and technical support for the Commissioner’s activities.
2. Regulations on the Secretariat of the Commissioner shall be approved by the Commissioner.
3. The structure of the Secretariat of the Commissioner shall be approved by the Commissioner, the staff list and budget shall be approved by the Head of the Secretariat of the Commissioner in coordination with the central executive body that ensures the formation of state budget policy.
4. The Head and staff members of the Secretariat of the Commissioner are civil servants, they are appointed and dismissed in the manner prescribed by the Law of Ukraine "On Civil Service".
