On January 20 the Commissioner for Protection of State Language Taras Kremin and his representative Andrii Vitrenko held a meeting with the Director of the British Council in Ukraine Nicholas Thomas.  

The parties discussed cooperation in the education sector. In particular, within the framework of the European Federation of National Institutions for Language (EFNIL) and support for Ukraine’s membership in this organization.

Moreover, Nicholas Thomas shared experience in promoting the English language in other countries.

Taras Kremin informed the British Council of the activities of the Secretariat of the Commissioner formed in the summer of 2020, and the work done by his institution to protect the Ukrainian language.
