The year 2022 will go down in the recent history of Ukraine as the year of linguistic revival of Ukraine and its spiritual awakening because the vast majority of Ukrainian citizens conquer the world not by passport but by their spiritual vocation, incredible heroism and valor. Taras Kremin, the State Language Protection Commissioner said for the "Espresso" TV channel.

Commenting on the adoption by the Lviv Regional Council of the Comprehensive Program to Promote the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as a State Language for 2023-2026, the Commissioner told about the current situation.

"The struggle for the establishment of the Ukrainian language is among our main fronts. All attempts of the occupiers to attack our language, culture, and identity are worthless. By uniting against the enemy and liberating Ukrainian cities and villages, we are bringing our victory closer," Taras Kremin said.

The Commissioner emphasized that the vast majority of Ukrainian citizens switched to Ukrainian. This corresponds to the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Functioning of Ukrainian as a State Language". At the same time, control over its application in certain areas remains under his constant control.

"Everyone who communicates in the Ukrainian language, who protects our state, who provides international aid, who works on language courses, who popularizes Ukrainian culture in the world, is a supporter of Ukrainian changes. At the same time, you should demand compliance with your language rights; you shouldn't allow being deceived to receive information or services in Ukrainian. We are doing everything to have more Ukrainian language. That's how it will be!" - Taras Kremin underlined.
