“The only goal is to prepare for the school year according to the russian curriculum (in summer the occupiers plan to teach students russian language, literature, and history of the aggressor country). Thus, during the summer the occupiers will try to russify Ukrainian schoolchildren. The school is an extremely important link in the kremlin's propaganda system. By working with young people, imposing the russian language in the school process, burning books, and imposing their history textbooks, the occupiers are trying to dismantle our children”, Taras Kremin said.

According to the Commissioner, the Secretariat of the Commissioner records massive attacks on the educational sphere in the occupied settlements. It goes about the imposing of the occupier's language, the forced "retraining of teachers" in the temporarily occupied Crimea, the destruction of books on the history of Ukraine, and preparation for the new school year under the russian educational curriculum, the imposing of propaganda literature. "It testifies about linguocide as a part of putin's policy of 'denazification' - the genocide of the Ukrainian people," Taras Kremin said.

"The so-called "retraining" is the passing of new filtration "language" camps by Ukrainian teachers, in which Ukrainian teachers must also receive an ideological "vaccination" by russian world", Taras Kremin said.

The Commissioner urges citizens to report harassment because of language and any harassment of the Ukrainian language in the occupied territories.

"All russian crimes, including those related to linguocide, must be properly recorded and investigated. russia's colonial policy, a key component of which is to impose the occupier's language and persecute Ukrainians who speak their native language, will be punished by international law. We believe in the Armed Forces, the liberation of Ukraine, and the irreversibility of punishment for all criminals”, Taras Kremin stressed.
