Putin's criminal authorities are trying to assimilate Ukrainian schoolchildren and teachers, who were forcibly moved but in fact deported to territory not controlled by Ukraine, to the educational standards of the russian federation. This was stated by the State Language Protection Commissioner Taras Kremin for Apostrophe TV.
It is already known that the occupiers plan to organize retraining "camps" for teachers from Kherson, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia oblasts at the temporarily occupied Crimea. Their goal is to switch Ukrainian teachers into Russian teaching standards. The Russian authorities plan to do the same with Ukrainian students who do not speak Russian.
"All this indicates that they are actively preparing for the new school year. According to their plan, it should start with our deported students and teachers. In this situation, it is important to legally protect our teachers, because it is about saving the lives of Ukrainian citizens, " Taras Kremin said.
According to the Commissioner, the Ukrainian authorities should develop prevention mechanisms and work proactively. “We already need to think about ways how to return Ukrainian children and teachers to Ukraine. We also need to find, as far as possible, effective ways to communicate with our citizens. Of course, this is a question of the activities of human rights organizations, the UN Security Council and relevant international structures. Today the facts of kidnapping of Ukrainian children are known to the whole world community. In the conditions of brutal, bloody, dramatic russian aggression, our citizens have actually become prisoners,” Taras Kremin stressed.
Russian terrorists are also fighting against Ukrainian books, which, according to the occupiers, do not meet their national interests. "First of all these are books on the history of Ukraine which reproduce the colonial policy of the Soviet Union as well as our achievements and successes since independence," Taras Kremin said.
The Commissioner stressed that linguocide is one of the components of genocide, so in a comprehensive sense it is a matter of destroying people, bearers of Ukrainian culture and language.
"Following the Verkhovna Rada, which last week passed a resolution recognizing russian aggression as genocide of the Ukrainian people, I expect that the vast majority of world parliaments will vote on similar decisions. Thus, the genocide of russians against Ukrainians will be recorded legally. This will add new arguments to the Ukrainian side during the criminal proceedings in the international court in The Hague and also opens a real prospect that Putin and all executors of his satanic will be brought to justice, " Taras Kremin said.
