Olena Ivanovska and Olha Herasymiuk Discussed Strengthening the Position of the Ukrainian Language in the Media and Online Space

A working meeting took place between the State Language Protection Commissioner, Olena Ivanovska, and the Chair of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine on , Olha Herasymiuk.

The parties discussed ways to strengthen the position of the Ukrainian language in the media and online space, the introduction of sign language in media, as well as the implementation of joint initiatives within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the institutions.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue systematic cooperation aimed at developing the Ukrainian-language information space and protecting citizens’ rights to receive information in the state language.
