From October 11 to October 13, 2023, Mr. Taras Kremin, Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language, was in Slovenia on a working visit as part of his participation in the conference of the European Federation of National Language Institutions (EFNIL), which was held in Ljubljana.

The Commissioner informed the European partners about the crimes committed by russia against the citizens of Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

"We have enough facts of linguicide that confirm these crimes," Mr. Taras Kremin emphasized.

During his stay in Slovenia, Taras Kremin participated in the work of the 20th Conference of the European Federation of National Language Institutions (EFNIL), met with the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Slovenia Andrii Taran, held a meeting with representatives of the University of Ljubljana, and also gave an interview to Slovenian newspaper "Delo".

In addition, on 12.10.2023 Mr. Taras Kremin visited an elementary school in the city of Ljubljana, on the basis of which the Ukrainian Saturday School operates, where he personally talked with the director Barbara Zhitnik Ternovets about the educational process and multicultural environment, which encourages Ukrainian students to improve their knowledge of Ukrainian languages
