January 27 - the International Day in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust, the Nazi terror during the Second World War. It was on this day in 1945 that the troops of the 1st Ukrainian Front freed the prisoners of the largest Nazi death concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, near Auschwitz, Poland.
The crimes, committed by the Nazis during the Second World War, are being carried out today with even greater brutality by russian war criminals.
Torture, rape, murder and martyrdom, looting, humiliation, and deportation of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians to the country of barbed wire - this is far from a complete list of russian crimes - the genocide of the Ukrainian people.
Today, the State Language Protection Commissioner Taras Kremin, together with the community and leadership of Mykolaiv and the region, took part in a memorial event held near the memorial sign for the people of Mykolaiv, victims of the Holocaust.
