The language law in Ukraine is one of the youngest in Europe. That was stated by the Commissioner for Protection of the State Language Taras Kreminfor the TV channel "Priamyi".
“The language law in Ukraine is one of the youngest in Europe. In the early 1990’s,with the restoration of independence inthe Baltic States,the law on language was one of the firstlaws that waspassed. That is why today there is a range of tools and there are all the necessary opportunities for the citizens of their countries so that they could not only knowtheirofficial languages but alsothe languages could turn into such common things like culture, traditions, customs, rituals as there is no nation without the language”, -Taras Kremin emphasized.
