As part of the all-Ukrainian campaign of the State Language Protection Commissioner Taras Kremin, we continue to inform about free opportunities for everyone who wants to learn the Ukrainian language. Thus, there are already more than 500 free courses, conversational clubs and online resources that help to learn and improve the language in Ukraine. You can join language courses in libraries, educational centers, institutes of postgraduate pedagogical education, etc.

Most of the platforms are located in the Kyiv region (69) and the City of Kyiv (27), Lviv (79), Zakarpattya (60) and Dnipropetrovsk (37) regions. The lowest number of proposals for studying the state language is presented in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kherson regions. Read more at the link.

In addition, a separate page, which provides useful information about educational resources and courses for foreigners who decided to study the Ukrainian language, was designed on the English version of the official website of the Commissioner. In total, 17 locations with paid and free language learning opportunities have been collected.

“We ask everyone, who organizes and conducts studying of the Ukrainian language for internally displaced persons, foreign citizens in Ukraine, or abroad, to inform us about proper opportunities at the postal address: kursy@mova-ombudsman.gov.ua. It is important to expand of free courses qualitatively and quantitatively as it facilitates the transition to the state language of a greater number of our citizens. It’s one of the main tasks of local programs for developing the Ukrainian language," Taras Kremin said.  

To recall, on the website of the Commissioner it was published a list of regional programs for the promotion and development of the Ukrainian language adopted during 2021-2023.
